Super Cup: Belgian win in Saturday’s biggest class
The biggest Super Cup class of the day – a CSI2* 1.40m Table A with jump-off presented by MARIS – was won by home rider Lena Leonard (BEL) with Gloria vh Kluizebos (Contact van de Heffinck x Fuego du Prelet). Fourteen of the 51 competing in the class made it to the jump-off, and five of them were clear the second time around as well. Leonard finished her jump-off in 37.95 seconds, almost one second faster than runner-up Alexandra Crown (USA) with Aron S (Tadmus x Karandasj) who crossed the finish line in 38.89 seconds. Third place went to Nicolas Bost (FRA) with Castleforbes Talitha (Cardento x Baloubet du Rouet) after he stopped the clocks in 40.57 seconds.
The 1.35m accumulator presented by TOPS JUMPS had France and Belgium on the podium: Philippe Rozier (FRA) with Sheriff de La Nutria LM (Diamant de Semilly x Papillon Rouge) won, Ines Van Den Bosch (BEL) with Infinity Vd Heffinck (Contact van de Heffinck x Triomphe de Muze) was second and Charline Hendrickx (BEL) with Halbert V/H Paardeveld (Sire Major de La Cour x Canadian River) third. All three riders finished the course with the full amount of points in 50.93, 53.75 and 55.31 seconds respectively.
Earlier in the day the 1.30m Table A against the clock presented by FRANK THOMAS was won by US rider Rosalie Biedron with Tucson Z (Toulon x Calvaro Z). With her time of 59.32 seconds, Biedron was way ahead of runner-up home rider Pieter Vandierendonck (BEL) with Just Beau van de Kouterhoeve (Diamant de Semilly x Toulon) that crossed the finish line in 70.74 seconds. Third place went to Dutch rider Yves Houtackers with Dosja (Nintender x Gran Carrado) after he finished on a clean sheet in 74.02 seconds.
