Prestige League: Stephanie Falisse brings home the Grand Prix to Belgium
Stephanie Falisse (BEL) made sure that it was a win for the home-nation in Saturday's CSI1* Prestige League 1.30m Grand Prix presented by BHV. Riding Dydou du Chabus (Ogano Sitte x Orlando), Falisse finished the jump-off with a time of 32.80 seconds – more than a second faster than runner-up Tatiana Troiani (BEL) with Sister van de Wolvendries (Contra-A x Etretat). As many as 16 horse-and-rider combinations made it to the jump-off and ten of them delivered a second clear. It was Leslie Kierkegaard (ARG) with Bonjour Z (breeding unknown) that produced the third fastest time.
Later during the day Stephanie Haelterman (BEL) ended on top in the Prestige League 1.10m two-phase class presented by DIGITEC, riding the 18-year-old Moineau des Vents (Flipper d’Elle x Feu Sacre). Haelterman and Moineau des Vents were the only couple to clear both phases. Second place went to Delphine Kindt (BEL) with Abercrombie (Ovidius x Voltaire) after being the fastest rider with four faults in the second phase. Third place went to Ingrid Strom (FRA) with Quacia des Sis Censes (breeding unknown), also she with four faults in the second phase.
