Top Series: Thibault Philippaerts wins world ranking class
Sunday's Top Series 1.45m competition presented by NESPRESSO went to home rider Thibault Philippaerts (BEL) on Jaimi Van Dorperheide (Winningmood x Cascavelle). The two-phase competition counting for the world ranking had 49 riders in it, and it was the young Philippaerts that was the fastest with his time of 28.90 seconds.
Ramzy Al Duhami (KSA) finished second with High Quality J (Quadrillo x Nabab de Reve) after stopping the clock in 29.48, while third place went to Clement Boulanger (FRA) riding Vaya de Lacke (Spotlight Z x Alligator Fontaine) to a time of 30.58 seconds.
Later in the day Patrick Mc Entee (AZE) went to the top of the podium in the Top Series 1.40m two-phase class presented by KARCHER riding Alice Mury Marais Z (Air Jordan Z x Calvin Z). Nine horse-and-rider combinations went clear in both phases, and this time around Thibault Philippaerts had to settle for the runner-up position aboard D Cancarra A.C. (Contefino x Kashmir van Schuttershof). Third place went to Emma Stoker (GBR) and Townhead Annie (Contendro I x For Pleasure).
