Prestige League: Victories for Andersson, Norris and Van Gorp
It was a Swedish victory in the 1.25m MAX snd’l Prize over two phases, that kicked off the Prestige League on Thursday, as Antonia Andersson won riding Vanessa des Hayettes (Quartz Adelheid Z x Eclair des Bois). Then followed no less than six home riders, with Simon Morssinkhof taking the second place on Notre Star Z (Numero Uno x Carthago Z) and Louise Losfeld third place on Quacia des Sis Censes (Arpad des Sis Censes x Brilloso) as the best of the Belgians. The competition counted as a qualifier towards Saturday’s one-star Grand Prix.
The 1.10m two phase Event Pulse Prize saw a British rider on top: Flo Norris riding Darling Hdh (Douglas x Oklund). Ingrid Strom (FRA) finished second on Rouf Brecourt (Quidam de Revel x Kayack), while the best home rider was Evelyne Putters on Dakota du Buisson Z (Dutch Capitol x Wolfgang) who finished third.
Marthe Van Gorp was the best in the Sport Vlaanderen Prize, a 1.15m class with a jump-off. Out of the six riders that produced double clear rounds, Van Gorp was the fastest against the clock to cross the finish line in 38.78 seconds aboard Lajolie 3 (Landfuerst x Cordalme). Almost two seconds behind followed the young super-talent Eden Leprevost Blinlebreton on Simonetta du Haul (Laurier de Here x Type d'Elle), while best of the home riders was Stephanie Haelterman who ended third riding Moineau des Vents (Flipper d'Elle x Feu Sacre).
