The CSI5* competition of Knokke Hippique started off with enormous speed in the 1.45m. World-famous superstar Marcus Ehning took the first victory aboard Singular La Silla with a difference of more than three seconds to runners-up Ben Maher and Boomerang and number three Janika Sprunger and Aris CMS. Another pleasant appearance was made by Nick Skelton aboard his living legend Big Star. Obviously a clear round for the wonderful pair and the one penalty for exceeding the time allowed was only to get to know the ring of Knokke Hippique. As best Belgian rider, Judy-Ann Melchior finished tenth with her amazing grey mare As Cold As Ice Z; clear with only two time penalties.
