Turkey’s Omer Karaevli and Mendocino (Zambesi x Papillon Rouge) were the best in Friday’s Future Stars Zangersheide Prize for 7-year-old horses set at 1.35m. With a time of 60.97 seconds, the pair had a good margin down to French runner-up Simon Delestre on CSIO Bel (Tinka's Boy x Gonfaron) who stopped the clock in 61.42 seconds. Great Britain’s Emma Stoker and Happynes (Eldorado Vd Zeshoek x Cicero Z Van Paemel) took the third place with their time of 62.02 seconds.

In the Future Stars Catherine De Buyl Prize for 6-year-old horses, it was Stoker’s turn to step up to the top of the podium. Aboard Q Seven (Quaid x Stakkato), Stoker recorded the time of 65.84 seconds over the 1.25m track – by far the fastest of ten clear rounds in the class. USA’s Brieanne Dofort followed in second place with Nanou van het Dennhof (Elvis Ter Putte x Burggraaf) after crossing the timers in 67.64, while Belgium’s Alain Colette finished third with Noblesse du Palis (Baltic VDL x Indorado) with a time of 71.70 seconds.
